RTTS – Run To The Shore
American Street Car Series is happy to announce our second annual Run to the Shore! The event will be held in Millville, NJ, at New Jersey Motorsport Park, April 6-8, 2012. New Jersey Motorsports Park is fairly new, and it is often reserved for the SCCA, Corvette Clubs, and other locals, but we got it again this year, and we are hoping for warmer weather! Here are some pictures from last year.
As last year, RTTS is planning on a dinner for Friday evening, April 6th, at 5pm. On Saturday, the lightning track and skid pad will be ready for all of your racing desires. We ask that all participants be at the track by 7am. We will do our Tech Inspections from 7-8am; at 8am, there will be a mandatory driver’s meeting, and the track will go hot at 8:30am. ASCS stresses that all participants be prepared and in line, so that everyone will get the maximum amount of laps and autocrossing. In tradition, for those who want to stick around Sunday, at 10am, we will rent go-karts, to allow for even more seat time.
Again, if you are interested in participating in Team T/A Contingency Program for 2012, please find Jess at the beginning of the event, and she will get you the proper paperwork to fill out, so that you can start qualifying for your share of the money. Over the past two years, the T/A Contingency Program has paid out over $40,000! Be sure that you don’t miss out on your share of that money this year!!!

FROM THE INFLUENTIAL:
“All you east coast boys and girls need to come to this event. Everyone there last year had a great time, even though there was a light snow the day before. We are dialing up warmer weather this year. For you karting fans, there is a chance for a 4 hour enduro. 4 person teams.” - Mike Manning
“Thanks for posting … And thanks for putting all of these events together for us! I’ll see you at RTTS and hopefully RTTH in 2012!” -Sean (aka. sr73bu)
“This event was an absolute blast!! I have never had that much fun at an automotive event in my life. I am very impressed at how smoothly it was run. Everything seemed to flow and work out perfectlly. Great job to everyone who was involved. I talked to/met alot of people and everyone was as nice as can be and very supportive. I had complete strangers help me with my car numerous times!!! You all have changed me forever! I plan to be an autocross junkie this summer and hopefully kill it at the next RTTH. I just can’t thank you enough for putting on this event and giving all of us a taste of the RTT? events.” -Douglas Lutes
“See you in jersey bitches…this time I will be a little more prepared!” -vanzuuck
“Now I really have to get my butt in gear if I’m to be ready for RTTS. A lot of work to do, back to the garage.” – Paul (aka. aps63)
“I can’t wait for this guys, I just hope I can have the car ready, the tranny decided to puke out all of its fluid after I left for basic, plus i need to pull the motor to replace the oil pump, if I can’t get a new tranny in time I hope you guys wouldn’t kill me if I have to resort to bringing the miata.” - Jason Nichols
“I’ll look forward to running the new ride and returning this year…” -Albert Melchior
“Bill we really can’t thank you, your hard working wife, Albert, Mike, Matt, and all the rest that I know I am forgetting enough for this wonderful event. This event really did great things for me. And it was great from start to finish even with the blown engine. I would love to do RTTH or some other event but at this point all that is unknown. BUT do RTTS again and I will be there.” -The Stickman
“I know I’ve said it before, but the RTT events are like no other. Where else in the world will you see that many beautiful, high end muscle cars in one place, getting the ***** kicked out of them (no where).” - Ron Schwarz
“What a great bunch of people and no ego’s any where in sight. The amount of seat time we had was almost tiring. The lightning course was fast, what a blast.” - Justin Mancino (aka. gmachinedart1)
