RTTA- Run to the Alamo
After many of you asked for a more central location: GET READY!! American Street Car Series promised, and we deliver! ASCS is pleased to announce that we are coming to Harris Hill Road Raceway, in San Marcos, February 17-19, 2012, for a weekend of cruising, racing, car showing, and more. ASCS would love to have you guys join us and hang out with like-minded car guys. You could learn more about our twist on our hobby.
On Friday, we will leave our host hotel, Fairfield Inn & Suites, at 12:30pm, and cruise to Dick’s Classic Garage and Car Museum. Here, you will have the chance to look at some one-of-a-kind automobiles for about two hours. Admission is INCLUDED in your $20 Cruise/Dinner fee!!! From Dick’s, we will cruise to Vintage Air, where we will have our traditional Friday night dinner around 5pm. SHOUT OUT TO RICK LOVE AND ALL OF THE GUYS AT VINTAGE AIR FOR SPONSORING OUR FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER… WITHOUT THEM, THIS WOULDN’T BE POSSIBLE!
Saturday will be spent at Harris Hill Raceway, where we will have our day at the track and a car show, open to all who want to participate. The car show fee is $25/car, and the Day At the Track is $225. We ask that all ‘At the Track’ participants be at Harris Hill no later than 7:30am; Car Show Participants should be at the track by 9am. ASCS will conduct our Safety and Tech Inspection before you are allowed to go onto the track. We will group cars and drivers into basic categories: novice, intermediate, and advanced.. that way everyone will have a fair run times. Keep in mind, that we stay organized, so that everyone can get in maximum run times. PLEASE BE IN LINE and ready to go when your group is called!!
ASCS is currently trying to nail down the details for Sunday’s events.
Again, if you are interested in participating in Team T/A Contingency Program for 2012, please find Jess at the beginning of the event, and she will get you the proper paperwork to fill out, so that you can start qualifying for your share of the money. Over the past two years, the T/A Contingency Program has paid out over $40,000! Be sure that you don’t miss out on your share of that money!
